I use dynamic quilts in many styles to share concepts that your members can use in their own work. Plenty of inspiration, food for thought, instruction, entertainment and fun are part of every trunk show and workshop. And of course: quilts, quilts, quilts!

1. Windy Wonders: A Quilt Block Grows Up
What happens when you take one simple, humble, straightforward little block and reimagine it into dozens of dynamic quilt designs?

That’s what Windy Wonders is all about. Begin to think like a designer as you discover the possibilities. Expand your thinking about creativity. Explore the potential.

2. Jingle Bells Trunk Show
I never wanted to make a Christmas quilt, until I made one! Now I can’t stop.

Dozens of extraordinary holiday quilts in all sizes and styles will expand a viewer’s understanding of color, value, line, shape and more.

How do you make red and green interesting? What can you do instead of red and green? What’s an easy and fast route to a great Christmas quilt? Let me help you get your Jingle on! 🎄🎄🎄

The Jingle Bells Trunk Show gets rave reviews. Your group will love it.

3. Make Extraordinary Scrap Quilts
This is by far my most-booked trunk show. I use scrap quilts—some with a few dozen fabrics and some with many hundreds of fabrics—to demonstrate what makes a scrap quilt work. Or not work!

Viewers will see what happens in a chaos quilt and in a carefully planned color-specific scrap quilt. There are giant patches and teeny tiny patches in these quilts. Some feature traditional color schemes and fabrics and some are WAY out there.

This is entertainment at its best because you’re learning the whole time you’re enjoying these quilts, even if they make you scratch your head! Learn the importance of value, what can tie many diverse fabrics together, how to use the most difficult and ugly fabrics and more.

My goal is to so inspire you that you head to your sewing space and cut up some leftovers to start an easy scrap quilt immediately. And I’ll give you the tools to do it!

4. Taste Test: Unexpected Sampler Quilts
There was a time when I thought of sampler quilts as blocks in rows with sashing—nothing special. Now I know that samplers go far beyond that basic idea. Samplers present endless possibilities for design variations, inspired settings, themes based on colors, shapes, events and so much more!

In the Taste Test trunk show, I’ll help you understand the magic ingredients that make a sampler work (or not). We’ll look at samplers large and small, traditional and modern, bright and bold and gently subdued.

Let’s explore the wonderful world of sampler quilts together during the Taste Test trunk show of unexpected designs!
