The Thrill of Victory, the Agony of Defeat
Remember the opening to ABC’s Wide World of Sports, about 40 years ago? Remember “the thrill of victory, and the agony of defeat”?
I have one foot in both of those worlds.
Starting a business and launching a website is an experience. The ups and the downs are dizzying. I am so excited to have Stash Bandit up and running, so that I can share my quilts with others who have the same passion for creativity. I love the personality that my team at Infuze Creative and I envisioned for Stash Bandit, and I think it comes through on the website. There is so much I’m happy about.
At the same time, I am terrified. The Self-Doubt Monster is ever present. There is the fear of doing something badly, or absent-mindedly, or of just being wrong. Putting yourself out there and asking people to hire you is gutsy business. I should probably grow some thicker skin.
Nevertheless, here I am. I’m going to drive this train all the way to Timbuktu and I hope you’ll come along for the ride.
