Tango at Mangelsen’s Sept 29
Bringing a scrappy adventure to Omaha! Join me, won’t you?!
Tango is a quilt that looks good in so many “outfits.” And the piecing is fast, fun and easy, leaving you free to think through fabric choices and let the prints do almost all the work!

This is my original Tango quilt made in brights and whites, with quite a few dullards thrown in for balance. But your Tango can look completely different!

Do like Steph Lockhart and use scrappy citrus colors with a dark ground. Steph started this version in a Zoom class online. It’s one of my favorites.

Another option I want to make is scrappy medium blues and greens on a navy ground, above. Isn’t it luscious?

Betsy M used dusty aboriginal prints on black for a dramatic effect, above.

Kathy Doughty fabrics from FreeSpirit plus scrappy browns.
My friends at Mangelsen’s in Omaha got in a boatload of FreeSpirit fabrics by Kathy Doughty a while back and I took home my favorites. That’s how the top above started, and then I added a variety of similar colors from my stash.
So you can see that your Tango can be whatever you want it to be!
See the supply list right here.
The cost for this workshop at Mangelsen’s in Omaha is $55. It runs from 10 am Central to 4 pm on Friday, Sept 29. I’d love to see you there!
