Next Retreat:
Stash Bandit Mountain Quilt Retreat, March 14–17, 2019
The Lodge at Buena Vista, Buena Vista, Colorado
I’ve come up with what I think will be the best of both worlds: You’ll get to work on your own quilts, UFOs and always-wanted-to-try-it projects, but you’ll also be learning about how to combine fabrics and colors for smashing results!
- The single most important factor for a successful quilt
- How to make boring fabrics interesting
- How to use the uglies in your stash
- Why making decisions as-you-go is the best way
- How to add variety to any fabric line
- Why a design wall is essential
- How to analyze a quilt’s effectiveness
- More concepts related to fabric and color
Additional fun: Trunk shows, show-and-tell, give-and-take table, new friends, delicious meals and a gift bag! Absolutely no cooking on this retreat—you just come and enjoy the creativity! (The food at the lodge is excellent. Seriously wonderful.)
Daily demos: Quilt binding by machine, easy quilt labels and more.
Rates: $499 includes three nights lodging, three breakfasts, one dinner, large sewing space, unloading/loading assistance, all quilt instruction, coaching on your projects and a gift bag.

The fine print:
Cancellation/refund policy: $50 is non-refundable. You may cancel and receive a refund of the remaining amount if another paying guest is willing and able to take your place. If I have a waiting list, I will go there first. If I do not have a waiting list, it will be your responsibility to find a replacement. Without another paying guest to take your place, there can be no refunds.
Weather event: The lodge has a no-cancellation policy for any reason, including weather. This is late winter/early spring in Colorado. Please plan accordingly. There can be no refunds for weather-related cancellations.
Travel insurance: I strongly suggest that you purchase travel insurance to protect yourself against loss in case of bad weather. Visit travelinsurance.com or contact your agent.
