It’s Quiet Over Here.
I think the holidays took the wind right out of my sails.
Or maybe it’s that we’re sailing into Year Three and that’s disheartening. I’m having a hard time concentrating, organizing, motivating. I think I am not alone.

The start of a new year always feels like a good time to clean up the studio. Of course I do it periodically but I’m no clean freak and my husband would say that I’m a walking tornado. When I can’t see the top of my sewing table, I know it’s time.

I have a lovely walk-in closet and I could barely get into it last week. Now it’s better!
I know how lucky I am to have a dedicated space for my quilting. This is the nicest space I’ve ever had for it. In the past I’ve sewn in an unfinished basement, a carport and a tiny spare bedroom. I sewed on the dining table for a decade.
It doesn’t really matter where you create as long as you’re doing it.
So embrace whatever space you have (or don’t have!) and plunge ahead.
Let’s talk about Bricks.
The quilted kind of bricks, that is. Now, you may not need a class to make this block:

But could you use a class on managing your scraps so that you can quickly and easily make blocks like this into something spectacular?
Bricks can be made into soooooo many fabulous designs—the possibilities are endless!
I’m teaching a class on Wednesday, Jan. 26 via Zoom during the Quiltfest Virtual Schoolhouse.
Scrap Management: Brick by Brick is full of ideas and inspiration!

And it’s beginner friendly if you don’t have a lot of experience. If you’re an experienced maker of quilts, then you’ll be free to concentrate on the design aspects and you too can have a wonderful time!
Find details, supply list and registration information.

The class is from 10 to 4 Eastern and is $95. I hope to see you there!
